The GLIPP JOINT requires a lot of commitment by the manufacturer both during the manufacturing and control phase. A sophisticated technology enables us to check the perfect dimensioning of the male and female profiles; their geometric precision avoids the contact between concrete and concrete. This enables the contactless absorption of the cutting loads conveyed by external loads and avoids the joint to break.
The pipe is built on a bottom plate with an exclusive shape. On this bottom plate the GLIPP gasket is applied. Its profile was suitably studied and realized to ensure anchorage and perfect tightness also when there are little misalignments. The gasket is made up of a rubber ring and a polystyrene one which protects the rubber right from the moment when the product was manufactured. The polystyrene ring is necessary for the joint to work correctly and differentiates the GLIPP system from forgery attempts, which usually lack the expansion chamber for the rubber.
The dimensional tolerances of the pipes are guaranteed by ILCEV. Using an automatic control, test and marking system, every single pipe produced is catalogued and arranged in order to enable its traceability in every moment. It is a valuable tool which is available to the customers.
